ADHD Therapy for Adult Women in Columbus, Ohio
Everyone else seems to make life look easy.
For as long as you can remember, you’ve had to hide how difficult it is to keep up with your day-to-day responsibilities. No one knows just how much you struggle to focus or complete projects at work, manage your time at home, or even return a text.
Because of this, you live in a constant state of feeling “not good enough,” like you’re always falling short in one area or another. This can’t help but flow over into your important relationships: fighting with your partner, friends feeling slighted, and responding in anger or frustration to your kids.
You might be noticing…
Paralyzing overwhelm, even with mundane or perceived “simple” tasks
Difficulty staying organized
Trouble with time management such as meeting deadlines, missing appointments, or arriving early or late
Persistent anxiety due to fear of messing up or forgetting something
A tendency to procrastinate if a task feels too difficult or you can’t do it perfectly
Trouble sleeping, making focus and concentration even more challenging
You’re tired of going in circles.
You know you’re not lazy or careless. In fact, you’re trying really hard, day in and day out—it just looks different than it does for others. You’re ready to release the fear of judgment and need for perfectionism so you can trust that you and your efforts really are good enough.
There’s a way to manage ADHD and lean into your natural strengths (you’ve got a lot of them!).
Living with ADHD means living in a world that, in many ways, wasn’t made for you. In therapy, we’ll work on finding new ways of managing and structuring your life that do work for you, all while encouraging you to cultivate a greater sense of self-compassion and confidence in yourself…just the way you are.
MY APPROACH
ADHD looks different for every woman, and therapy will too.
I’ll meet you where you are today, then we’ll work together to plot a path forward.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) presents differently for each person, especially women. Often, ADHD doesn’t show up like the stereotypical young boy who can’t sit still in class—in many cases, women have adapted for so long that the diagnosis is missed altogether. If you’re here wondering if you have ADHD or receiving a late diagnosis, please know it isn’t your fault.
In our work together, we’ll start by looking at how ADHD is showing up specifically for you, such as in your relationships, productivity, time management, or self-esteem. I’ll take the time to understand the whole picture of your life so I can best understand your needs and concerns. From there, we’ll develop a customized treatment plan that is geared toward your specific goals. Each session will be focused on those goals, and I’ll be here to support you in making changes to your lifestyle and structure, as well as exploring the deeper thoughts and beliefs you have about yourself and your ADHD.
We’ll work on:
Understanding symptoms and how the ADHD brain works differently
Exploring underlying struggles contributing to your ADHD
Processing the unique ways you experience ADHD
Identifying and implementing ways to cope with ADHD
My approach to therapy is strengths-based. That means we look for and build upon your strengths, rather than focusing solely on your challenges. I will always create a non-shaming environment where you can feel comfortable showing up as your authentic, ADHD self. That means no rejection, criticism, or judgment—ever. It also means I don’t come into therapy with an agenda or expectations about where you “should'' or “shouldn’t” be. This is your journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you at the pace that’s right for you.
This is a place you can take the mask off and dive deep into your true self. I’m here to help you develop a greater sense of self-compassion and control over your life.

Therapy can be an incredibly powerful tool for managing and living with ADHD. It’s important to note that this process isn’t about “curing” ADHD. Rather, it’s about learning how your unique brain works and how to make that work for you. If you’re looking for help with things like reducing procrastination, improving focus, implementing structure, or increasing self-esteem, therapy is very effective. Learn more.
